Dust XP1: A Productivity Assistant for Chrome
Dust XP1 is a free productivity assistant developed by Stanislas Polu for the Chrome platform. This add-on and tool falls under the Browsers category and aims to enhance your productivity by providing access to your browser tabs' content. Powered by GPT-3.5-turbo, Dust XP1 can assist you with various daily tasks such as answering emails, summarizing documents, and extracting structured data from unstructured text.
To open the assistant, simply use the keyboard shortcut ⌘+↑ (which can be remapped by visiting chrome://extensions/shortcuts). You can select specific tabs' content to include in your query by using the `[[` command. Submit your query with the shortcut ⌘+⏎. If you need to clear the conversation, you can use the command `/reset`.
Dust XP1 offers a range of functionalities, including replying to emails based on specific knowledge sources, summarizing content from websites like CNN in bullet points, extracting LinkedIn experience as CSV, generating Twitter threads with emojis to promote products, creating personalized emails for LinkedIn connections, and generating JSON data from emails and LinkedIn profiles.
However, it's important to note that Dust XP1 has a few limitations. It currently does not work with Google Sheets, but the developers are actively working on it. Additionally, the model context size can be a limitation for long documents, especially when multiple tabs are used.
Rest assured, Dust XP1 prioritizes privacy. Only the text content of the tabs you select and submit is sent through the servers to OpenAI's API. Cookies, tab activity, and non-submitted tab content are never sent.
